The USAF SIG has not attended the Avon Model show since it moved to its new location, so our visit during 2015 was timely.
The new location is within three spacious halls and was well laid out. Rather than our usual 12' x 4' display, we had a different 24' x 2' layout which enabled us to have dual themes - with "Vietnam" at one end featuring revetments, and "USAFE" at the other end with Haydn Hughes' dispersal diorama. This was well received, especially after Haydn spent a considerable length of time supergluing assorted trees to his dispersal!
The show was both friendly and well-attended and is highly recommended if you are in the area - especially since there is a fantastic coffee shop in Thornbury!
