Skylancer are not a well known decal brand but produced some very interesting sheets. 72-CW01 features 4 different F-94Cs in hi vis markings, as follows:-

  • F-94C-1-LO 51-13600 'FA-600' from the 46th FIS based at Dover AFB during May 1954. This was the Squadron Commander's aircraft and carried three Insignia Red diagonal stripes on the rear fuselage in addition to the 'standard' squadron markings of Yellow nose rocket doors, yellow rocket pod nose caps, yellow rudder and a yellow arrow outlined in black on the wingtip tanks. This aircraft carried the Buzz Number on the nose and 'U.S. AIR FORCE' in small text on the fin, these being the 'early style' service markings. The squadron emblem was carried on the fuselage.
  •  F-94C-1-LO 51-13596 'FA-596' also from the 46th FIS but in the 'later style' service markings. This was the Flight Leader's aircraft and carried two diagonal Insignia Red stripes on the rear fuselage. The squadron emblem was carried on the fuselage. 'U.S. AIR FORCE' was carried on the nose with the 'FA-596' Buzz Number underneath it in much smaller type than 51-13600, with all other markings being the same;
  • F-94C-1-LO 51-5524 from the 97th FIS based at New Castle Co Airport, Delaware, during September 1955. This was the Flight Leader's aircraft and carried two diagonal Insignia Red stripes on the rear fuselage, Insignia Red rudder (with white stripe) and Insignia Red nose wheel doors. The squadron emblem was carried on the fuselage. A yellow stylised arrow was carried on each wingtip tank and 'U.S. AIR FORCE' was carried on the nose with the 'FA-524' Buzz Number underneath it in small type;
  • F-94C1-LO 50-1025 from the 437th FIS, Oxnard AFB, California, during March 1956. This aircraft carried Green nose rocket doors and nose wheel doors, Green wing tank stripes, a Green rudder and two diagonal Green stripes outlined in black on the rear fuselage. It also carried 'U.S. AIR FORCE' on the nose with the 'FA-524' Buzz Number underneath it in small type. The squadron emblem was carried on the fuselage.

A very limited set of stencils are provided for one aircraft, but Skylancer do provide 'Stars'n'Bars' in the correct Insignia Blue shade as well as 'USAF' markings for the wings. Instructions are limited to a black-and-white left-hand-side view for each airframe, together with stencilling detail and detailed color notes.

Skylancer filled some interesting gaps in the market and this sheet is recommended - if you can find it!
