Xtradecal sheet X72246 provides markings for 10 different F-106As & Bs
- F-106A-100-CO 58-0779 "FE-779" from the 94th FIS based at Selfridge AFB, Michigan during May 1960. Overall Air Defence Command Grey (FS16173) with Insignia Blue "U.S. AIR FORCE" and black "FE-779". Unit markings comprise a thick fin band with horizontal red/white bands with a blue chevron and "hat-in-the-ring" emblem. The aircraft also carried a yellow star and tail emblem on the nose;
- F-106A-105-CO 59-0011 from the 94th FIS (later markings) based at Andrews AFB, Maryland during June 1967. ADC Grey with a two part thick fin emblem. The forward part of the fin comprised a dark green band containing five black iron crosses outlined in white, the rear part containing alternating black and green horizonal bands separated with yellow. Inbetween the two parts was the "Hat-in-a-ring" emblem;
- F-106A-105-CO 59-0010 from the 5th FIS based at Minot AFB, North Dakota on 17th September 1979. Overall ADC Grey with Insignia Blue "U.S. AIR FORCE". Large yellow lightning bolt on the fin outlined in black;
- F-106A-110-CO 59-0031 "FE-031" from the 27th FIS at Loring AFB, Maine during 1969. Overall ADC Grey with Insignia Blue "U.S. AIR FORCE" and black "FE-031". Thick fin band with yellow and black checks with a yellow chevron superimposed;
- F-106B-31-CO 57-2513 from the Rockwell B-1 Test Squadron based at Kelly AFB, Texas during 1979. Overall ADC Grey with Insignia Blue "U.S. AIR FORCE" and an International Orange (FS12197) fin. "Large black lance on the outsides of the wing tanks with "Cape Code" in white outlined in blue. B-1 emblem on the fin was in black;
- F-106B-31-CO 57-2513 from the 539th FIS based at McGuire AFB, New Jersey during 1965. Overall ADC Grey with Insignia Blue "U.S. AIR FORCE" and a blue lightning flash on the fin, outline in yellow;
- F-106A 56-0459 "The Red Baron" from the Air Force Flight Test Centre, based at Edwards AFB, California during the 1950's. Overall Flourescent Red-Orange (FS28913) ;
- F-106A 56-0457 from the 318th FIS, based at McChord AFB, Washington during 1982. Overall ADC Grey with Insignia Blue markings and a styllised blue star on the fin;
- QF-106A-130-CO 59-0130/AD152/EXD-01 used by NASA for Project Eclipse, based at Edwards AFB, California during 1997-8. Overall ADC Grey with Insignia Blue markings and an International Orange Fin. The rudder was yellow with black stars, and the NASA "meatball" was carried on the fin;
- F-106A-90-CO 57-2500 "FE-500" from the 95th FIS, based at Andrews AFB, Maryland during 1963. Overall ADC Grey with with Insignia Blue markings and black "FE-500". Large squadron emblem on the fin.
Instructions comprise left and right side drawings of each aircraft and separe upper and lower wing markings where relevant.
Decals are printed by Microscale and come on 3 sheets - one A5 and two smaller. No stencils are provided, but the decals are in perfect register.
This is a highly recommended sheet, providing some very colourful markings for the F-106A & B!
