Cutting Edge sheet CED72177 "B-1B Painted Bones Part 2" provides markings for four different B-1Bs. The aircraft are:
- B-1B 86-0105 "Snake Eyes" DY from the 28th BS, 7th BW at Dyess AFB. Overall FS36118 Gunship Grey with a blue-and-white chequered tail band, black markings and full colour nose-art;
- B-1B 86-0107 "Bad To The B-One" DY from the 9th BS, 7th BW at Dyess AFB. Marked similarly to 86-0105 but with a black tail band containing a white bat and grey nose art;
- B-1B 86-0104 "American Flyer" from the 28th BW at Ellsworth AFB. This carried the three tone scheme comprising FS34086 and FS36081 upper surfaces with FS36118 and FS36081 lower surfaces. Markings were in medium grey and the aircraft carried an orange/blue tailband with grey tail artwork and full colour artwork on the nose;
- B-1B 85-0079 "Warriors Dream" from the 28th BW at Ellsworth AFB. This was painted and marked identically to 86-0104 but with different nose art.
Markings are limited primarily to the individual aircraft markings, although stars and bars are also provided. Instructions comprise full left views of each aircraft, scrap views of the right side of the nose (where needed), and upper and lower camouflages schemes.
The sheet is no longer available, but worth picking up if you can find it!
