Cutting Edge sheet CED72113 provides markings for the 103rd FW (Connecticut ANG) A-10A marked to celebrate the 118th FS's P-51s operated during WWII.
A-10A 78-0621 eas painted in the standard two tone grey scheme comprising FS36320 over FS36375. It wore a large sylised black lightning bolt (outlined in yellow) on the nose with a smaller one on the leading edge of the inner and outer fin. Black "CT" tailcodes were carried (again outlined in yellow) and "The Flying Yankees 80 YEARS" in black (again outlined in yellow) was on the engine nacelles.
The instructions are in full color but are limited to left, upper and lower views. The decals are printed in good register and appear to be suitably opaque.
Getting the nose decals to apply over the compound curves of an A-10 fuselage is going to be challenging, but this will be a highly colourful scheme once applied!
