Caracal Models sheet CD72093 provides markings for 14 different C-46 Commandos from WW2 and Korea. The post-war aircraft are:
- 44-78334 C-46D-15-CU from the 437th TCW. This aircraft wore the WW2-era scheme comprising Olive Drab (equivalent to FS34087) over Neutral Grey ( equivalent to FS36270). It wore yellow "UNITED STATES AIR FORCE" on the fuselage, serial and the "USAF" on the lower port wing. The nose and fin tip were matt white;
- 44-77592 C-46D-10-CU from the 437th TCW. The aircraft was overall natural metal with black markings including the "UNITED STATES AIR FORCE" on the fuselage. It carried matt white nose and fin tip"437th TROOP CARRIER WING" logo on the nose;
- 44-77715 C-46D-10-CU from the Pennsylvania ANG. This wore overall natural metal, with the upper fuselage being painted white, separated by a black cheatline;
- 44-77687 C-46D-10-CU from the Rhode Island ANG. It was overall natural metal with the entire rear fuselage, tail and wingtips painted Insiginal Red (equivalent to FS11136). It carried black "RHODE ISLAND AIR NATIONAL GUARD" markings on the fuselage with a yellow nose cap and "BALOFIA!" on the nose in white, contained in a dark blue panel outlined in white;
- 44-77592 C-46D-10-CU from the 437th TCW. it was overall natural metal with yellow nose and fin tip. It wore "U.S. AIR FORCE" on the nose in Insigina Blue, although the markings provided are black;
- B-858 (ex 44-78405) C-46D-20-CU) from Air America. This was overall natural metal with blue "AIR AMERICA" on the rear fuselage and the serial "B-858" in black on the fin and wings.
The instructions are in full color and provide a left side view of each aircraft, additional scrap views and upper/lower markings diagrams.
The decals are provided on two A5 sheets and one smaller sheet and are in perfect register with the yellow and white being appropriately opaque.
