Print Scale sheet 72-495 "F-86 Sabre Fighter-Bomber Groups of the Korean War" provides markings for eight different F-86Fs, all from the 8th FBG. The airframes featured are:
- F-86F-30-NA 52-4405 'Cajun Express' of the 36th FBS, 8th FBG
- F-86F-30-NA 52-4436 'Wild Bill' of the 36th FBS, 8th FBG
- F-86F-30-NA 52-4395 'Sonny Boy' of the 36th FBS, 8th FBG
- F-86F-30-NA 52-4413 of the 36th FBS, 8th FBG
- F-86F-30-NA 52-4347 'The Georgia Peach' from the 36th FBS, 8th FBG
- F-86F-30-NA 52-4455 'Miss Minookie' from the 36th FBS, 8th FBG
- F-86F-30-NA 52-4392 'My Darling Patricia' from the 36th FBS, 8th FBG
- F-86F-30-NA 52-4452 'Miss Bunny' from the 36th FBS, 8th FBG
All airframes were painted and marked identically - overall natural metal with a white fin. The fin contained three diagonal red bands with the serial superimposed. The rear fuselage and wings carried yellow bands outlined in black. Each aircraft carried it's name below the canopy.
Instructions comprise either a left or right side view in color, together with a four-view showing stencilling. No history or additional detail is provided.
The decals are provided on two sheets, both approximately A6 in size. As usually seems the case with Print Scale, they suffer from twin problems, being both insuffiently opaque and slightly out of register. Additionally, the red provided is almost orange rather than Insignia Red. This is disappointing as the schemes provided are colorful.
In summary - an interesting sheet let down by poor printing.
