  • F-15E-62-MC 98-0133 LN from the 492d FS, 48th FW during 2007. Shown with a green fin flash outlined in gold, although this should actually be blue outlined in gold. Black "LN" tail codes, mission markings on the nose and 492 FS emblem on the left hand CFT.
  • F-15E-49-MC 90-0244 MO from the 391st FS, 366th FW during 2008. Orange fin band with black tiger stripes, black "MO" tail code, mission markings on the nose and 391st FS emblem on the left CFT;

All the aircraft are show during deployments to Afghanistan. All were painted overall Gunship Grey (FS36118); the instructions incorrectly call this "Gunship Light Grey" although the FS number and color references appear to be correct. With the exception of tail codes and unit badges, all markings were black.

Instructions comprise two sides of black and white A4. A single side view is provided for each airframe, with additional scrap views where necessary. A 4 view is also provided for stencilling purposes.

The sheet itself is beautuflly printed and contains a single set of stencils and national markings.

Whilst F-15E's do not tend to be very colourful, Authentic Decals have provided good variety for those wanting to portray Afghanistan-era (ie 2007-2009) aircraft. However, no additional information is provided, so the modeller will have to research weapons loadouts etc themselves, which seems a little of a missed opportunity!
