Draw Decal sheet 72s-C17-24 provides markings for a C-17A from the 145th AW, North Carolina ANG marked for the unit's 70th Anniversary.
The airframe was x3-0602 and it was painted in the standard AMC grey scheme with black markings. The center portion of the fin was white with the rear section containing six blue vertical diamonds. Superimposed was a blue fin band containing "70 YEARS" in yellow and it also carried a red "N" and blue "C".
Draw Decals are printed digitally, which means that the decals are a little thicker and less flexible than normal, but given these are being applied to a flat surface they should go down nicely.
Draw Decal provide two sheets - one with the special scheme and a set of dark grey windscreen markings, and a second sheet with basic details (USAF markings, refuelling and strip lights and engine pylon detail) which will be really useful!
This sheet is designed for the Anigrand kit! One could also use the Combat Model vacform, but neither is an easy build!
