Decal Sheet Title Rebels With A Cause

Wolfpak Decals sheet 72-124 "Rebels With A Cause" provides markings for a bumper crop of USAF subjects, including an A-7D from the 149th TFS (Virginia ANG), F-105D from the 192d FW (Virginia ANG), U-2S from the 9th RW, an A-37B from the 138th SOS (New York ANG), a B-52E from the 6th AW and no less than 3 B-52Fs from the 7th 320th and 454th BWs.

The individual aircraft are:

  • A-7D-13-CV 72-0223 from the 149th TFS, 192d TFW of the Virginia ANG during 1987. This carried the later two tone scheme comprising dark green FS34079 and dark grey FS36081. Markings were predominantly black and the aircraft carried "VA" tailcodes. A grey fin band outlined in medium blue carried three white stars and "VIRGINIA" in blue, and a full colour squadron badge was carried behind the cockpit;
  • F-105D-31-RE 62-4384 from the 192d TFG of the Virginia ANG during 1978. This wore the standard South East Asian scheme, comprising dark green FS34079, medium green FS34102 and tan FS30219 upper surfaces with light grey FS36622 lower surfaces. No tailcodes were carried but the aircraft carried a yellow fin band containing a black lightning gflash and "RED RIVER RAIDER" artwork under the left intake;
  • U-2S 80-1096 from the 9th RW at an undisclosed deployed location during 2018. It was overall matt black with all markings in Insignia Red. It wore a red fin band containing 4 black iron crosses and red "BB" tailcodes;
  • A-37B 69-6428 from the 138th SOS, 174th SOW of the New York ANG at Syracuse IAP. This wore the standard South East Asian scheme, comprising dark green FS34079, medium green FS34102 and tan FS30219 upper surfaces with light grey FS36622 lower surfaces. It carried small white "NY" tailcodes and the outside of the wing-tip tanks carried "428 THE BOYS FROM SYRACUSE" also in white;
  • B-52E-90-BO 56-656 from the 6th AW at Walker AFB during 1963. It wore the natural metal over gloss white scheme. Markings were limited to a tail serial and SAC flash on the nose;
  • B-52F-70-BW 57-169 from the 320th BW on Guam in February 1966. The upper surfaces were aluminum lacquer with the lower surfaces painted gloss black. Markings were similar to 56-656 but it also carried mission markings behind the cockpit;
  • B-52F-65-BW 57-149 from the 454th BW on Guam in February 1966. This was painted and marked similarly to 57-169 with simil;ar mission markings. This was the aircraft Jimmy Stewart flew in!;
  • B-52F-65-BW 57-139 "Lady Luck" from the 7th BW on Guam during fall 1965. Painted and marked similarly to 57-169  with 100 mission markings and "Lady Luck" in script above the mission markings.

Instructions follow the standard format for Wolfpak - a full color side view of each aircraft, black and white camouflage scheme drawings and full unit and aircraft history, weapons loadout and color information.

The decals are printed by Fantasy Printshop in perfect register.
