Caracal Models CD72101 provides markings for 10 different EF-111A "Spark Varks". The airframes are:
- 67-0041 "Knight Jammer" from the 42d ECS carrying "UH" tailcodes;
- 67-0052 "Cherry Bomb" from the 42d ECS carrying "UH tailcodes;
- 66-0056 "Babyjam" from the 42d ECS carrying "UH tailcodes;
- 66-0041 which was the first production EF-111A;
- 66-0042 "Let'Em Eat Crow" from the 42d ECS carrying "UH tailcodes;
- 66-0013 carrying "OT" tailcodes;
- 66-0021 from the 390th ECS carrying "MO" tailcodes;
- 66-0050 from the "Mistress Of Deception" from the 42d ECS carrying "UH tailcodes;
- 66-0015 from the 429 ECS and carrying "CC" tailcodes;
- 66-0044 "Straight Flush" from the 429th ECS carrying "CC" tailcodes.
All aircraft were painted in the standard scheme for the type - Dark Compass Ghost Grey FS36320 upper surfaces with Light Grey FS36492 lower surfaces.
From looking at photographs, it is unclear what period these markings depict as at least one of the examples (66-0050) does not match any of the available photographs. Furthermore, care must be taken as some of the EF-111A were painted with soft-edged camouflage whilst others were hard-edged. Finally, the 429th ECS are depicted with "TAC" badges, but did not get their aircraft until approximately 1993, at which point TAC had been replaced by ACC.
Caracal provide a left side view of each aircraft, with a separate four-view showing the camouflage scheme. No aircraft, unit or date details are provided, which is somewhat disappointing.
Decals are printed by Cartograf in perfect register.
This is a useful sheet, but will need careful research by the modeller.
