Iliad Design decals sheet 72020 “Unusual C-47s” covers 4 different C-47s, two of which are USAF-related.
- C-47B-45-DK 45-0884 was operated by Carco Air Service and was used for carrying equipment from Los Alamos to various test sites. It was overall natural metal with a stylised “CARCO” emblem on the fuselage and a black serial number
- VC-47D-5-DK 43-48777 was operated by the Military Air Attache for the American Delegation in Wellington during late 1947. It was overall Dark Olive Drab with yellow serials and “MILITARY AIR ATTACHE: AMERICAN LEGATION, WELLINGTON” in white on the upper fuselage.
Instructions comprise a double-sided A4 sheet with a left side view of each aircraft, together with upper surface drawings where relevant.
The decals are well printed in good register, although stencilling will need to come from the kit or other sources.
