Euro Decals sheet ED72-131 provides markings for four different F-100D Super Sabres as follows:
- 56-3433 from the 352d TFS, 354th TFW at Myrtle Beach AFB, South Carolina during 1959. This carried a yellow fin with two black bands, 4 black arrows and the Wing Band on the fin. The nose carried a yellow vertical band outlined in black with black arrows;
- 56-3404 from the 27th TFS, 832d AD at Cannon AFB, New Mexico during 1959. It wore a multi-colour fin with diagonal green/red/dark blue/yellow bands, all outlined in white and a diagonal band on the nose comprising (front to rear) green/red/dark blue/yellow/green, all separated by white bands;
- 56-3307 from the 417th TFS, 50th TFW at Ramstein AB, West Germany during 1959. It carried three horizonal red bands on the fin, each containing white stars. The entire extreme nose was red with white stars and the wing fuel tanks were red with white stars on the fins;
- 55-3775 from the 615th TFS, 401st TFW at England AFB, Louisiana during 1958. It carried large black chequers on the tail and a vertical green band on the nose.
Instructions are 4 sides of full color A4, with a four side view of each aircraft and callouts for the markings. The decals come on two small sheets - one providing the individual aircraft markings and a separate sheet with basic stencilling for one aircraft. The decals are in perfect register and the white appears sufficiently opaque.
This sheet is highly recommended!
