Modeldecal were one of the earliest providers of high-quality aftermarket decal sheets. Whilst they focussed mainly on British subjects, they did produce some sheets of interest to USAF modellers. Set 8 is of particular interest as it documents tail codes, serials, insignia & general markings for post-1967 aircraft.
This sheet provides light grey 24" unit identification letters, white 15" fin serial numbers, black 6" fin serial numbers, 15" stars'n'bars and a selection of stencilling.
Why this sheet is of particular interest is that it was one of the first references to state that USAF aircraft had light grey tailcodes.
As this is a very old sheet (printed in 1970!) it is not fair to compare it to a modern Microscale /Cartograf / Fantasy Printshop sheet, but it is actually quite nice and in good register.
This is a very rare sheet, and I was very pleased to be able to get my hands on a copy!
